Key responsibilities
A sales representative in this role will focus on critical sales efforts such as:
- Lead generation. Research and identify potential clients through calling, referrals, and net leads, and walk ins.
- Building relationships. Establish trust with new business prospects while maintaining strong connections with existing customers to drive long-term customer satisfaction.
- Sales process management. Guide prospects through the sales pipeline, delivering presentations on the company’s products, negotiating pricing, and closing deals to meet sales quotas.
- Product knowledge. Stay informed about new products, services, and industry trends to position offerings that meet customer needs.
- Client follow-up. Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and explore opportunities for additional sales efforts or referrals.
Qualifications and skills
To succeed in the sales representative role, qualified candidates must meet these requirements:
- Education. Must be mathematically competent is using, writing, and verbally communicating basic math extensively. Must be able to read and follow direction in English. Must have Basic Computer skills.
- Work experience. Preferred At least 1+ years of experience in inside sales, outside sales, or a similar position, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving customer relationships. But would possibly train the right unexperienced candidate who met most other criteria.
- Technical skills. Preference will be given to candidates with Experience & Knowledge in any of the following: QuickBooks, Excel, E-commerce, specialty social media advertising, Firearms, Microsoft Office, exc.
- Certifications: Must be able & willing to sale firearms.
- Soft skills. Exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and effective time management abilities. Problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are also critical.
- Industry knowledge. Familiarity with sales industry trends, evolving customer needs, and emerging technologies in relationship management and lead generation.
- Ability to understand, recall and follow complex compliance regulations and the ability to work with highly confidential information.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule and hours necessary to open and/or close the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be 21 years of age.

What does a sales representative do?
